Augmented Reality Toys (Work in progress) from Frantz Lasorne on Vimeo.

Kids will soon be engaging in augmented reality if designer Frantz Lasorne's project of toy play comes to fruition. Kids place a head mount (glasses) on and utilize a standing toy base. Players start with various levels of armor and weaponary and then begin for battle with friends. Yes, this will include multiplayer interactions as kids build battlefields and battle against one another. "The objective of this project is to create an imaginative and engrossing environment while still creating value for old discarded toys. Its kinda like tabletop war-game and a strategy video game coming together," mentions Yanko Design blog.
