Volvo got their art on

Inside this epic Zurich train station building for the last few days was an art orgy for a select number of street artists. C-Line, Blackyard, DAIM, Nevercrew, Pius Portmann, Suki Bamboo, Yummy Industries, Lowrider, Donovan & Onur and Wes21 each had a half a day to stamp their mark. Each day as commuters and tourists walked by the car was painted and repainted. Props to Volvo for setting up the exhibition. Below are a few examples thus far.

Ripped from here.

close your eyes.

An interesting new stimuli utilized in an advertising message by BMW. This new approach seemed to wow consumers.

Could have some fascinating implications, especially within more immersive environments or even experiential marketing where you could create eyes-closed experience by initiating pitch darkness. Could be even cooler if there wasn't a brand logo showing up at the end.

Beautiful work being done down in Miami by culture-jamming champion, Ron English. Ron English has been keeping busy...I am sure the local community is thankful for his drive as well.

copy cat

I love the video. The statement is that copyright isn't as legit because all art is a copy of previous art. This only looked at statues, but an interesting viewpoint nonetheless.

in nyc today? become the man

Via The Urban Speaker! This art installation allows anyone to broadcast their voice in public. The installation has a number where people can dial in and record up to 60 seconds. Also equipped with a QR code, users can access the mobile site via phone and utilize for quick dial. This culture-jamming execution is intentionally trying to push the boundaries of media and public space, especially who is allowed to distribute messages.

enthusiasm + innovation within architecture

The problem:
You have 344 sq. foot home. You have your parents and younger sisters living with you. Your bedroom is the living room and your style is cramped.

Do you:
A.) Get the f*ck out and buy a new place to accommodate?
B.) Pull a Gary Chang and solve the current problem?

Props to Gary for having the vision and imagination to create an effective solution. This is truly inspiring.

I believe Albert Einstein said it best with, "Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.”

the art is coming at me

Evan Roth is ripping it up once again with some 3D graffiti art realized. Literally.

You may know Evan from compelling projects such as L.A.S.E.R. Tag, Graffiti Research Lab, F.A.T. or the amazing EyeWriter work he did. To say the least this guy has been fusing technology, art and culture together in unique ways for a long time. It's how he gets down.
