the art of beers

It's a beautiful thing...isn't it?
Is this supposed to be an emphasis on the art of brewing an exceptional brew? Does the artwork in these ads translate? Personally I am not sure if nothing gets lost in the translation, but either way they are pretty to look at.

as the concept matures

The latest spot below is following the recent success of the walk in cooler one I wrote about a year ago. Interestingly, when I first wrote about the commercial it was when nothing was being produced in the U.S. and in fact, it was launched by TBWA/Neboko in Amsterdam. Shortly after i wrote the article and when nothing was being produced in the U.S. they brought the spot over here...good idea. The newest spot is thematically the same so maybe we will see this one pop in the States as well.
It may be hard to top the first one and its evident this one does not. Or maybe because I was such a fan of the walk in cooler.

beer and life and life and beer

Interesting new commercial for Guinness. Not sure if this will air in the US, but it should be an effective spot over the pond. I like how the first bomb scene looks like the foam within a Guinness beer.

I don't have to write much here. Just read the pictures of execution. :)

heineken u so funny

great fresh creative from TBWA\ Neboko.

W+K and heineken still quiet in US. it will be interesting to watch effects or what their communications plan will consist of, especially during this recessionary time. their silent treatment wasn't the best move and their sales are definitely reflective of that....
alcohol is proven recession proof (kinda). sales of PBR and other low quality brands are zooming while sales of premium liquors are getting pounded. Heineys fall in line with 'premium' but they are tasty little buggers...
can they activate booze bags again? or have drunk asses moved to hipster brews...
